Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their air space.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

Wider Impacts

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported wreckage fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
